CAT COCOS FERRY SCHEDULE

While the current Cat Cocos schedule runs up to and including 31st December 2026, compared to previous months, there has been little to no change in the ferry services' timings. So, you can use the current schedule to plan your trip from 1st January 2027 onwards.

Should a schedule change affect your booking, we will immediately inform you of the new timings. We offer alternative timings when a particular service is no longer operating. Where no alternatives exist, we will provide you with a refund.

There are daily Seychelles ferry services between the islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.
To get from Mahe to Praslin, hop on the Cat Cocos ferry, with up to three daily departures from the Inter Island Quay in Victoria.
Getting from Mahe to La Digue is just as easy with the Cat Cocos ferry, as many of their Mahe to Praslin services continue on to La Digue, with just a brief stopover in Praslin.
To travel from Praslin to La Digue, Cat Rose operates several daily departures in both directions.


Do Seychelles ferries run every day of the year?

Yes, Seychelles ferries operate 365 days a year.
The Cat Cocos ferry operates its full Mahe - Praslin - La Digue schedule throughout the year. Cat Rose also operates all year round, althought services on weekends and public holidays are reduced.


How much is the Seychelles Ferry?

The price of the Seychelles ferry depends on the type of tickets you purchase and the cabin/class of travel.
Here are the One Way Seychelles ferry ticket prices for Adults (12 years and over) and Children (2-11 years inclusive).
Roundtrip ticket prices are simply double the price of One Way tickets.
Infants (less than 2 years) travel for free in all cases!

  • Business Class - Maximum allowance = 30kg of accompanied checked baggage per passenger

In addition, each passenger is permitted 1 piece of carry-on/cabin baggage not exceeding 7kg.

Cat Rose
  • Standard Class - Maximum allowance = 30kg of accompanied checked baggage per passenger

In addition, each passenger is permitted 1 piece of carry-on/cabin baggage of a reasonable size.

In all cases, these allowances are more generous than the domestic flight allowance of 20-23kg.


Is there luggage storage at the Seychelles ferry terminals?

Luggage storage is only offered at the Seychelles ferry terminal on Mahe.
There is a paid luggage storage facility at the Mahe Jetty in Victoria, open daily from 07:00 to 18:00. However, there is no luggage storage at the Praslin or La Digue jetties. If you need to store bags on those islands, check with your hotel or the Vallée de Mai visitor centre on Praslin.


What happens if the Seychelles ferry is cancelled due to bad weather?

The Seychelles ferry is very rarely cancelled due to bad weather.
Weather cancellations are actually very rare. Cancellations are more often due to mechanical issues, and even then, backup vessels usually cover the service. If the operator does cancel, you are typically rebooked on the next available crossing or offered a refund.


Are the Seychelles ferries safe?

Yes. Both Cat Cocos and Cat Rose operate modern, well-maintained high-speed catamarans.
All vessels carry full safety equipment, and the crossings have an excellent safety record. The services are regulated by the Seychelles Maritime Safety Administration.
