How do I book a Seychelles ferry ticket?
It’s easy, just fill in your dates, number of passengers and route on the ‘Seychelles Island Hopping’ page, then click ‘Search’ and you will be able to see which boats are available, how much they cost and when they depart. Then just click ‘Book’ and follow the booking process for instant confirmation. It’s quick and easy, you can pay by credit card or with your PayPal account, and you will receive your e-tickets immediately. To watch a short video demonstration on how to book, click here.
Please note that ferry tickets can be purchased up to 48 hours before departure.
Will I receive paper tickets?
No, as soon as you have completed the booking process you’ll receive an immediate email notification confirming the details of your booking from [email protected] with your e-tickets in an attachment. If for any reason you do not receive this email within a few minutes of making a booking, please log-in to your email provider and check your Spam/Junk folders. Please then mark our email as Safe/Not Junk.
Which ferry should I take?
It really depends on where you need to travel to or from. If you’re on Mahe then Cat Cocos has several daily departures to Praslin. They also operate a once-a-day service all the way to La Digue (with a short 20 minute stop in Praslin) on their Isle of La Digue ferry. For travel between Praslin and La Digue, Inter Island Ferry operates a regular shuttle service between the two islands. Search for ferry availability here.
Can I book a ferry from Mahe to La Digue?
Yes, Cat Cocos currently operates a direct return service between Mahe and La Digue once a day. Board the Isle of La Digue for a direct connection between the two islands. The ferry makes a short stop at the Baie Sainte Anne Jetty on Praslin for about 20-30 minutes before continuing on its journey. You’ll find more information about this service in our Seychelles Island Hopping section.
Please note that on some days, passengers may need to transfer to the Isle of Praslin or Isle of Mahe for their onward connection.
For more flexibility you will need to book two separate tickets. You can travel with Cat Cocos from Mahe to Praslin and then transfer to an Inter Island Ferry for the onward journey to La Digue. You can check ferry timetables and book your tickets on our Seychelles Island Hopping page.
My flights arrives at around 06:30, so can I book the 07:30 ferry?
We would strongly recommend against booking the 07:30 ferry. It takes about 30-45 minutes (depending how busy the flight is) to go through immigration, collect your baggage and clear customs at Mahe Airport. It’s then 15-20 minutes by taxi (own cost) to the Victoria jetty. So as you can see, even without any delays, you would be cutting very close. Should you still decide to book the 07:30 ferry - with a flight arrival time of 06:30 - and miss it, the ferry company is not obliged to automatically re-book you on the next journey.
We therefore recommend you book the next scheduled service. You can then make use of the shuttle bus service from the airport; it leaves at 09:00 daily, with an additional trip at 08:00 on Sundays.
Do you offer airport transfers?
For Cat Cocos passengers, arriving/departing Mahe International Airport, there is a scheduled shuttle bus service between the airport and the Cat Cocos jetty in Victoria. For anyone wishing to make use of the airport transfer the following fees will apply - Adult: €10 each way / Child: €5 each way / Infant: No charge. The service departs the airport daily at 09:00 and 15:00 to connect with their mid-morning and afternoon ferry departures. In addition, a special Sunday service will depart Mahe International Airport at 08:00 to transfer passengers booked on their 09:00 departure. For early morning ferry departures, or transfers at any other time, taxis are readily available at the airport to take you to the jetty. As it takes between 45-60 minutes to exit the airport after flights land, you should only book this servcie if your flight arrives at least 1 hour before the shuttle bus departure time. If not, then you will need to make your own way to the airport (at your own expense).
You can reserve seats on the airport shuttle during our simple booking process. Just remember to add your arriving/departing flight details in the space provided.
Currently we do not offer any airport transfers to hotels. However, the hotel may offer a transfer service for its guests, so it's worth contacting them after you book.
I've booked an airport transfer. Where can I find the shuttle bus? What time does it leave?
At Mahe International Airport the shuttle bus is located just outside the terminal building. After collecting your baggage and clearing customs you will exit into the arrivals hall. Just look for the Creole Travel Services airport representatives who will direct you to the shuttle bus. Mahe airport is relatively small, so you should have no problems finding it. The shuttle bus leaves at 09:00 and 15:00 daily, as well as at 08:00 on Sundays for passengers booked on the 09:00 Cat Cocos ferry. Journey time to the Victoria jetty is approximately 15-20 minutes.
For transfers back to the airport from the Victoria jetty, the shuttle bus is located right at the jetty. It leaves approximately 15-30 minutes after the ferry arrives, depending on how long it takes for all passengers to collect their luggage and board the bus. It is not possible to take a later shuttle bus back to the airport. Passengers wanting to spend some time in Victoria before a departing flight will have to make their way back to the airport at their expense.
How much luggage can I bring?
Both ferry operators - Cat Cocos and Inter Island Ferry - have generous luggage allowances, similar or even better than those offered by the airlines.
Cat Cocos - Each passenger is permitted one piece of carry on/cabin baggage not exceeding 7kg with maximum dimensions of: 50cm X 30 cm X 20cm. Any cabin baggage above this size will be considered as checked baggage and will be stowed in the cargo compartment.
All Economy Class passengers are allowed up to 30kg of accompanied checked baggage per person. Any luggage weighing more than 30kg will be charged an excess luggage fee of €2.00 per kilo. Passengers travelling in Business Class, are entitled to a maximum of 40kg of accompanied baggage per person.
Inter Island Ferry - Each passenger is allowed to carry one small hand-held item of carry on / cabin baggage as well as up to 30kg of accompanied baggage, which should be of a reasonable size. Any luggage deemed too large or in excess of the free baggage allowance will be subject to an excess fee.
Should you wish to bring any special items of luggage, sporting equipment, or over-sized items, please contact us before making a booking as additional luggage charges may apply.
Is there somewhere I can leave my luggage at the Mahe jetty?
Yes! There is a luggage storage facility at the Mahe jetty in Victoria where passengers can leave their bags for the day. It is open daily from 06:30 to 19:00 and is free of charge. Bags can only be kept for the day, so no overnight storage.
Can I change the date/time of my tickets?
Yes, when you make a booking you’ll receive an immediate email confirmation along with your e-tickets. On your e-ticket is a contact email address and phone number for the ferry company.
Cat Cocos - Simply send their representatives - Creole Travel Services - an email, or call, with your preferred new dates/times, at least 72 hours before departure, and the changes will be made (subject always to availability) for free, providing that the ticket(s), once issued, are returned to the Cat Cocos Sales office at least 72 hours before the original departure date/time. If the new date of travel falls within a higher price period/season, you will only be charged the difference in fare. Within 72 hours of departure, dates/times may only be changed once without penalty, providing that the ticket(s), once issued, are returned to the Cat Cocos Sales office before the original departure date/time. If the new date of travel falls within a higher price period/season, you will only be charged the difference in fare. Any additional changes, within 72 hours of departure, will be considered a cancellation and subject to a 100% cancellation fee. In all cases, no (partial) refunds will be given if a new date of travel falls within a lower price period/season.

Can I cancel my tickets?
Yes, you can cancel your tickets but the Cancellation Policy applies. All Cat Cocos fast ferry bookings cancelled more than 72 hours from the date/time of travel will receive a full refund, providing that the ticket(s), once issued, are first returned to the Cat Cocos Sales office at least 72 hours before the original departure date/time. Cancellations received less than 72 hours from the date/time of travel will receive no refund. All Inter Island Ferry bookings cancelled more than 48 hours from the date/time of travel will receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than 48 hours from the date/time of travel will receive no refund.
I'm pregnant. Can I still take the ferry?
Whenever planning to travel by ferry, pregnant passengers should always consider their comfort and safety before purchasing tickets. For passengers prone to seasickness, pregnancy can exacerbate the symptoms; espacially at certain times of the year when the seas can become choppy.
IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of all pregnant women to advise the ferry company of their condition at the time of booking. In the absence of a medical certificate attesting to fitness to travel for pregnant women over 24 weeks and above, the Duty Captain and crew reserves the right to refuse passage to any pregnant passenger. Pregnant passengers boarding the vessel do so completely at their own risk. By boarding the vessel the pregnant person assumes all the risks and liabilities which may arise from her condition. You may also be asked to sign a disclaimer.
Can I get an upgrade when travelling on my honeymoon?
Honeymoon upgrades ceased being offered by Cat Cocos as per 1st December 2014.

Should you have any special requests for your ferry transportation you can contact the ferry company directly. Their contact details will be on your e-ticket confirmation. When do I pay for my booking?
For fast ferry tickets, full payment is required to secure the booking. For any changes, cancellations or refunds please refer to our Terms and Conditions.
When booking a hotel in Mahe, Praslin or La Digue, it depends on which of our affiliate partners' websites you use.
Agoda.com - you will be charged in full at the time of booking. For any changes, cancellations or refunds please refer to the Agoda.com terms and conditions.
Booking.com - you pay directly at the hotel. No booking fees/deposits are required to make a reservation; although a credit card number is necessary to make a reservation.
Is there a time limit on when I can make a hotel reservation?
No, you have the option of making a hotel reservation up to a year in advance but we would not recommend leaving bookings to the last minute.
What happens to my hotel booking or fast ferry ticket if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed please contact the hotel or fast ferry company immediately. We ask hotels and fast ferry companies to be sympathetic to guests that are delayed through no fault of their own, and as a result hope that you will not be charged. We cannot guarantee they will not charge you if inside the cancellation period, however if you are not satisfied with the way they deal with the situation please let us know by email.
If I have specific requirements, can I still make a booking with you or is it easier to book with the hotel directly?
No, it is still easier to make a booking with us. The hotels do not generally give out rates comparable with those on Seychellesbookings.com. You can check the hotels' facilities on their individual information page and during the booking process you can enter specific questions or requests.
What happens when I make a hotel reservation?
Once you have browsed our selection of top recommended accommodation, click the "More Info & Rates" button to view availability and prices on either Agoda.com or Booking.com. You will then be taken to the selected affiliate’s website where you can see more information about the hotel and make a booking. You will be asked for your credit card details and a few personal details.
Agoda.com - To confirm your booking, full payment will be charged to your credit card or PayPal account. You will then receive an email confirmation from Agoda.com along with a Hotel Voucher. The hotel will also receive an email with your reservation
details. The hotel voucher AND credit card must be presented upon check-in at the hotel, together with a valid form of photo ID.
Booking.com - To confirm your booking a credit card number is required, but you will not be charged at that time. Payment is made directly to the hotel upon arrival/check-out. You will receive an email confirmation from Booking.com which also acts as your hotel voucher and should be presented upon check-in.
What happens when I make a fast ferry reservation?
Once you have chosen the fast ferry you would like to book, and ensured the details are correct, you may then select from a variety of special offers. After you have selected your special offers you will be taken through to a secure payment screen where you will first be asked for to provide a few personal details and then given the option to pay with your credit card or with your PayPal account.
As soon as you have confirmed your booking and agree to the amount that will be charged to your credit card, we will send you an email confirming all the details of your booking and contact details for the fast ferry company. The fast ferry company will also receive an email with your reservation details.
Do I need to re-confirm my booking directly with the hotel or fast ferry company?
No, you are not required to re-confirm your reservation with the hotel or fast ferry company. Once you make a reservation our system, you, and the hotel or fast ferry company will receive an email to confirm the booking. Should you however need assistance getting to your hotel, we would advise that you contact the hotel directly. We recommend you attach the hotel voucher you received when corresponding with the hotel so there can be no confusion over who you are.
How long does confirmation take?
Confirmation of your booking should be instant when booking online. You will receive and email confirming all your booking details. This email should be with you within 10 minutes of making a reservation.
What should I do if don't receive email confirmation of my booking?
Check your Junk/Spam mail folders. If it’s not in there and you have not received email confirmation of your ferry tickets, please contact us at [email protected] giving us all the details so that we can investigate.
For hotel bookings you can also check your booking status by logging on to 'manage my bookings' via the Agoda.com website or by signing-in to the My Booking.com tool on the Booking.com website.
For fast ferry bookings just provide us with either your name or the fast ferry company name and dates of travel. We will then be able to re-send your booking confirmation and e-tickets to you.
Does the credit card holder have to be present at check-in?
No, you can pay with someone else’s credit card. However you may be contacted by Agoda.com or Booking.com for security purposes when making a 3rd party booking.
I made a booking, what do I do if I wish to cancel/amend my booking?
For cancellations and amendments to hotel bookings, simply follow the link in the confirmation email you received when you made the booking. Make sure you check the hotel’s cancellation policy. All changes to dates will be subject to availability. Amendment fees may apply.
To cancel/amend a Cat Cocos fast ferry booking, simply contact their representatives - Creole Travel Services - at least 72 hours before departure, to make the necessary changes. Their contact information is on the e-tickets you received when you made the booking. Once the ticket(s) are issued, they must first be returned to the Cat Cocos Sales office at least 72 hours before the original date/time of departure before any changes can be made. All changes to dates/times will be subject to availability and approval from Cat Cocos' senior management. Only one free date/time change is permitted within 72 hours of departure, provided that the ticket(s), once issued, are returned to the Cat Cocos Sales office before the original departure date/time.
When amending/cancellaing an Inter Island Ferry (Cat Rose's) reservation, simply contact them directly, at least 48 hours before departure, to make the necessary changes. Their contact information is on the e-tickets you received when you made the booking. All changes to dates/times will be subject to availability. Only one free date/time change is permitted within 48 hours of departure.
In the event of a cancellation, please copy the email you send to fast ferry company to [email protected] so we can process your refund.
What is the cancellation policy for hotels on the Seychellesbookings.com website?
As an affiliate of Agoda.com and Booking.com, the cancellation policy for hotels can be found on www.agoda.com and www.booking.com respectively. The details and conditions of the cancellation policy will be different for each booking depending on the hotel, period of stay, room type, etc. Booking conditions, including cancellation policies can be viewed at any time during the hotel booking process. The cancellation policy/booking conditions link can be found in the middle of every page of the booking form. It will also be stated in the confirmation email sent to you. If you cancel your booking via their self-service option, the cancellation policy will be shown again upon cancellation.
Do I make payment with you or with the hotel or fast ferry company?
To make a confirmed hotel booking, full payment will be charged by Agoda.com at the time of booking whereas hotels reservations made via Booking.com only require a credit card guarantee at the time of booking; payment is then made directly to the hotel upon arrival/check-out.
For fast ferry tickets, you pay the total price of the ticket to Seychellesbookings.com when you book it. This is refundable by Seychellesbookings.com if you cancel more than 48 hours from the departure date. See Cancellation Policy for more info.
What currency will I have to pay in?
When booking a hotel you will have the option to select your preferred payment currency. The currency you pay in for fast ferry tickets is Euros (€).
How do you calculate exchange rates?
Due to the fluctuating nature of currency exchange we are unable to quote a specific exchange rate. To find out the current exchange rate, we recommend that you check with your bank or a foreign exchange agent. Although these may differ day to day, the price your booking is confirmed at is what you will pay. Seychellesbookings.com has no control over fluctuating exchange rates and you may find that the exchange rate changes differ from your booking date to date of arrival.
What cards are accepted to secure my hotel reservation?
Agoda.com only accepts credit card (Visa, Master Card, AMEX, JCB and Carte Bleue) and PayPal. You are required to fill in your credit card details or log-on to your PayPal account to complete the booking process. Currently, all other methods of payment are not acceptable.
Booking.com hotels all accept credit card payments (Visa, Master Card). Some hotels also accept other credit cards, such as American Express, for reservation purposes. You can see which credit cards a hotel accepts in the Hotel Policies section under the hotel description and also when making your booking.
Are the rates per person or per room?
All rates advertised on Agoda.com and Booking.com are per room per night, excluding taxes and service charges (unless otherwise stated).
Are taxes included in the rate?
In general, rates are excluding taxes and service charges. If any taxes are included in the rate this will be displayed under the ‘room type’.
Why do the prices differ by day or from the last time I checked?
Seychellesbookings.com is all about getting our customers a great room at a great rate. Hotel and fast ferry prices will vary depending on how busy they are, which can mean different rates for different dates. For hotels we guarantee the best rates available online.
Prices can fluctuate at any time, even right up to the moment of your stay/trip. However, the price you have booked is always the price you will pay.
Is breakfast included in the rate?
Not always, so check the ‘room type’ on the hotel’s information page to see what is and isn’t included in the rate.
Each hotel is very clear on what the room rate includes. Once on the hotel's information page, each room type displayed will state what is included in the price you pay.
Do you charge a credit card fee?
No. We do not charge any extra fees when you make a booking. Your bank however may levy a transaction fee for making an international payment. In such cases we advise you to contact you bank or card issuer.
How do I know your site is secure?
Once you have booked through Seychellesbookings.com, your details are stored on our secure server, which cannot be accessed by anyone external to our company. These details are protected by the latest SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, which is independently certified by Global sign. What do you do with my personal information?
For fast ferry bookings your details will be passed to the ferry company. Your card details will be securely dealt with by PayPal. Any information entered into the online booking page is securely encrypted and protects your personal information from being tampered with. We will keep your card details on file indefinitely after you have made a reservation. This is to assist in any customer service issues that may arise and to ensure that we meet any legal requirements relating to tax, etc.
