One of the biggest in the fleet
The Isle of Mahe is a 36-metre high-speed catamaran and, until the arrival of the Pride of Praslin, was the largest vessel in the Cat Cocos fleet. With a capacity of 400 passengers across three decks, it remains one of the two biggest ferries operating on both the Mahe to Praslin and Mahe to La Digue routes, and its size makes it particularly well-suited to the busier sailings of peak season.

All Cat Cocos ferries depart Mahe from the Inter-Island Quay in Victoria, arriving at Praslin's Baie Sainte Anne Jetty (ERO Passenger Terminal).
After a short 15-minute stopover, passengers for La Digue will continue their journey, arriving at the Inter-Island Ferry Jetty in La Passe.

Generous capacity across three decks. 400 seats split across the main cabin, upper deck and Business Class lounge means more room to spread out than on the smaller vessels in the fleet - a tangible difference on a busy sailing.
The largest economy cabin in the fleet after the Pride of Praslin. The Coco de Mer main cabin holds 222 air-conditioned seats, plus 12 exterior aft bench seats for those who want a breath of fresh air without committing to the full open upper deck.
A sizable Island Hopper deck. 143 seats on the open upper deck gives plenty of room to find your spot and enjoy the views without feeling crowded - an important detail on a crossing where the scenery is half the appeal.
Fast enough for a day trip. At 26.5 knots, the 75-minute crossing to Praslin and back makes a full day on Anse Lazio or in the Vallée de Mai very achievable on a return ticket, with time to spare.
A proven vessel on a demanding route. The Isle of Mahe has served the Cat Cocos schedule since 2013, accumulating years of reliable operation across all seasons and sea states.

Cat Cocos has been running daily services between Mahe, Praslin and La Digue since 1998 - long enough to know exactly what the route demands. The Isle of Mahe has been part of that operation since 2013, a reliable fixture on a schedule that carries hundreds of thousands of passengers a year.
