With the introduction of their newest vessel - Cat Rose’s II - Inter Island Ferry is now able to offer up to 8 departures a day for visitors looking to plan a Seychelles Island Hopping experience. It takes only 15 minutes to make the short crossing between the islands of Praslin and La Digue.
Cat Rose’s II, although slightly smaller than its sister vessel - Cat Rose’s - can still carry up to 102 passengers as well as 6 crew members. The air-conditioned cabin on the main deck has seating for 56 passengers while the upper deck has 46 seats for passengers wishing to travel outside, with a large canopy providing shade. Toilets are located either side of the stair well on the main deck.
Which of the two vessels you will travel on will be determined by the Inter Island Ferry staff on the day, subject to the number of passengers.
Passengers must check-in at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Present your Seychellesbookings e-ticket at the Inter Island Ferry counter where you will be issued your Boarding Pass. Actual boarding starts 10 minutes before departure with the Boarding Gate closing 3 minutes before the ferry leaves the jetty.
You are allowed to carry one small piece of hand baggage on board, along with a maximum of 30kg of accompanied luggage; which should be of a reasonable size. Luggage deemed too large or in excess of the free luggage allowance will be subject to an excess luggage charge.

Designed and built in Australia, to international standards, Cat Rose's II is a twin-hulled high-speed aluminium catamaran, measuring 19 metres in total length. Power is supplied by two C9, 500 bhp Caterpillar engines achieve an average cruising speed of approximately 20 knots. In addition to its technologically advanced communications and navigations systems, Cat Rose’s II comes equipped with all necessary safety equipment, including 9 Carly life rafts and life jackets for all passengers.
