With the introduction of their newest vessels - Cat Rose's II and Cat Rose's III - Inter Island Ferry can now offer up to 6 departures a day for visitors looking to plan a Seychelles Island Hopping experience. It takes only 15 minutes to make the short crossing between the islands of Praslin and La Digue.
Cat Rose's II, although slightly smaller than its sister vessels - Cat Rose's and Cat Rose's III - can still carry up to 102 passengers as well as 6 crew members. The air-conditioned cabin on the main deck seats 56 passengers, while the upper deck has 46 seats for passengers wishing to travel outside, with a large canopy providing shade. Toilets are located on either side of the stairwell on the main deck.
On the day of departure, the Inter Island Ferry staff will determine which of the three vessels you will travel on, subject to the number of passengers.
Passengers must check-in at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Present your Seychellesbookings e-ticket at the Inter Island Ferry counter, where you will be issued your Boarding Pass. Actual boarding starts 10 minutes before departure, with the Boarding Gate closing 3 minutes before the ferry leaves the jetty.
You are allowed to carry one small piece of hand baggage on board, along with a maximum of 30kg of accompanied luggage, which should be reasonably sized. Luggage deemed too large or over the free luggage allowance will be subject to an excess luggage charge.

Designed and built in Australia to international standards, Cat Rose's II is a twin-hulled high-speed aluminium catamaran measuring 19 metres in total length. Two C9, 500 bhp Caterpillar engines supply power, achieving an average cruising speed of approximately 20 knots. In addition to its technologically advanced communications and navigation systems, Cat Rose's II comes equipped with all necessary safety equipment, including 9 Carly life rafts and life jackets for all passengers.
